Kratom is native to Southeast Asia and as such it needs to be imported to the United States. As shown in the picture above, the three major kratom quality screenings are Heavy Metals, Microbiology, and Alkaloid Profile. Heavy Metals detects the presence of elevated lead and mercury content. Microbiology screening fails immediately if even the slightest trace of e.coli, salmonella, or any other pathogen is found. Lastly, the Alkaloid Profile measures the naturally occurring compound generally found in flowering plants. In the case of kratom, the two alkaloids most commonly found are Mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine. For the most effective kratom quality in terms of potency and efficacy, look for a Mitragynine concentration between 1.3% and 1.8%, and that can only be found in the Alkaloid Profile Lab Test.
